Soon, my neighbors will change. The property will be changed. Forever.

They want to build a new house where trees now grow.

Sunlight will be able to shine on my property when those big trees are cut to make room for a house.

But some of the big old trees will be cut down and gone forever.
Life is a bunch of compromises, it seems.
you can't stop progress, they say.
And so I took these pictures back in September 2014. Because I knew what the future held. I will soon find out what it will look like.
