Last night, people from all over the province of Quebec came to a demonstration to object to shale gas production in the St-Lawrence valley. People gathered in front of the Sandman Hotel in Longueuil where the public consultation called a BAPE is being held to hear memoirs on the subject. The BAPE is not to establish if getting natural gas out of shale by fracking is a good thing or not, but only to find out the best ways to regulate the industry.

The message from the people and the environmental groups is: NO FRACKING WAY!
